One of the best reasons to visit Myrtle Beach is for its golf courses. Myrtle Beach has some of the best courses in the US, some even designed by celebrity pro golfers. Even better, you can just about visit any time of year and the weather is always perfect for a round of golf. We’ve put together a list of our favorite golf courses in Myrtle Beach.

North End Courses

The Dye Club at Barefoot Resort

The Dye Club is a semi-private course in Barefoot Resort. It’s white natural sand and pitfalls are not only stunning but give this course its level of difficulty. Arcadian Shores

Located in North Myrtle Beach, Arcadian Shores Golf Club provides a complex course for golfers at any skill level. Here you’ll find a mixture of contoured fairways, giant oaks, lakes, and undulating green. Two of the wholes at Arcadian Shores were even voted part of the Dream 18 by The Sun News (#2 and #13). Tidewater Golf Club

This award-winning North Myrtle Beach golf course features beautiful and lush Bermuda greens on their fairways. This course offers a challenge at every hole and is a golfer’s paradise. Tee times typically start around $64/per player, for more information or booking visit the Tidewater Golf site.

Surf Golf & Beach Club

Surf Golf & Beach Club is a Par 72 course with a challenging George Cobb design. Great for any level of player their fairways feature gentle contours and varied terrain. Don’t forget to stop by their Pro Shop with a variety of apparel, golf supplies and more!

Central Courses

River Oaks Golf Plantation

River Oaks Golf Plantation offers 800 acres of beautiful green along the Intracoastal Waterway. Its courses offer three nines designed by Gene Hamm and Tom Jackson that are sure to challenge a golfer at any skill level. Myrtle Beach National

Myrtle Beach National is part of the Founders Collection and offers three signature golf courses that any golfer would love. Come play the West Course, a classic Arnold Palmer design, King’s North, or SouthCreek. Rates vary depending on the time of day and season. World Tour Golf Links is home to two nines, the Open 9 and the Championship 9. The Open 9 features holes from the top-ranking courses in the U.S. and British Opens. The Championship 9 was inspired by the most challenging holes from the Masters, U.S. Open, British Open, and PGA Championship. In short, World Tour is a golfer’s paradise. Pine Lakes

Known as the Granddaddy course in Myrtle Beach, Pine Lakes offers a classic golf experience. Pine Lakes is one of the oldest and favorite in Myrtle Beach, designed by the first PGA president, Robert White. Though it is one of the oldest courses it has been extensively renovated but keeps it’s 1920s feel. Arrowhead Country Club

This premier 27-hole course features Bermuda Fairways and MiniVerde Bermuda Greens. Play one of their three 9-hole tracks: The Cypress, The Lakes, or The Waterway –all equally challenging but unique. For more information and tee times check out the Arrowhead Country Club site.

Myrtlewood Golf Club

Myrtlewood Golf Club features two scenic and unique courses Myrtlewood Palmetto and Myrtlewood Pinehills. Both are championship Myrtle Beach golf courses on the serene Intracoastal Waterway. TPC Myrtle Beach

Awarded 5 stars by Golf Digest, TPC Myrtle Beach is one of the best courses in the Grand Strand. The course was once the host of the Senior PGA Tour and is now a golfer’s dream green. Willbrook Plantation

Designed by Dan Maples, this beautiful course weaves through two plantations and provides a challenge for golfers of any skill level. This 18-course terrain includes marshes, natural grasses, and much wildlife. At Willbrook, you are sure to get a sense of what golfing in the Carolina’s is all about. River Club

This gorgeous low-country course is a very challenging and strategic 18-holes. River Club is a Tom Jackson Signature course that has received 4.5/5 stars from Golf Digest’s “Places to Play”. Indian Wells Golf Club

Come enjoy a fun and challenging round at Indian Wells Golf Club. Their 18-hole, 72 par course features gorgeous TifEagle Bermuda grass with fairways that smoothly rise and fall.
