Ripley’s Aquarium

Dive into a marine adventure at Ripley’s Aquarium, one of the best family activities in Myrtle Beach. Ripley’s is home to over 10,000 sea creatures, from touchable stingrays and horseshoe crabs in the hands-on encounter to electric eels and colorful tropical fish. The whole family will love the moving path beneath Danger Reef, a 300+ foot journey that places you in a glass tunnel underneath the exhibit to see the animals from a new perspective. WonderWorks

WonderWorks Myrtle Beach is hard to miss – this science-focused amusement park is built to appear like a building that was turned upside down! There’s something for every member of the family at WonderWorks, with over 100 hands-on exhibits that range from blowing human-sized bubbles to the Wonder Coaster simulation to laser tag and even a ropes course. You can even brave hurricane-force winds in the Extreme Weather Zone! Once you’ve walked through the inversion tunnel, you’re ready to spend the day exploring this awesome family activity that combines science and pure fun. 

Broadway at the Beach

Broadway at the Beach is one of Myrtle Beach’s top attractions for families! Broadway is home to shopping, dining, and entertainment that visitors from all around the world come to enjoy. Shop for souvenirs, fill your tank at one of the restaurants, watch live music and performances, and stick around on select evenings for a fireworks extravaganza over the lake in the center of Broadway!

Broadway Grand Prix

Broadway Grand Prix is a family-friendly recreation complex that holds seven go-kart tracks, two mini golf courses, an arcade, and even rides just for the kids – an ideal activity for families with children visiting Myrtle Beach. Kids can try their hand at “racing” on Kiddie Speedway and Tot Rod, ride the mini Sky Wheel and the Carousel, and play to their heart’s content in the arcade. Myrtle Beach State Park

Myrtle Beach State Park is a budget friendly activity for families in Myrtle Beach. The park protects over 300 acres of beautiful green space, some of the only remaining undeveloped land on the coast of South Carolina. Once you enter the park, the options are endless: spot local birds, enjoy fishing or crabbing from the pier, walk the Sculptured Oak Nature Trail, or just enjoy the beach. Admission to the park is $8 per person, with lower prices available for seniors and children. Kids 5 and under are free!
