Have you ever been so exhausted after a busy day at the beach that you just can’t muster up the energy to prepare a full meal for the family? Or, do you consider yourself a foodie and are on a mission to try it all during your stay in Myrtle Beach?
No matter what your reason is, sometimes you just want to enjoy a fantastic meal in town. Quality time with family and friends, decadent dishes, and having someone else do the dirty work for you are just a few of the perks of eating out while on vacation. Luckily, you don’t have to venture far from Sea Crest to experience just about anything your palate could crave.

Our Seafood Picks: 

Sea Captain’s House | 3200 N. Ocean Boulevard | (843) 448-8082 

Sea Captain’s House has been a Myrtle Beach tradition for over 75 years and they show no sign of slowing down any time soon. This oceanfront favorite offers breathtaking views of the very place your dinner comes from in both classic and creative varieties like Carolina Surf & Turf, Peacan Crusted Grouper, and Shrimp & Oyster Po-Boy. Guests can get their fill of seafood for breakfast, lunch, or dinner 7 days a week, from 6-10:30 am, 11:30 am-2:30 pm, and 4:30-9:30 pm.

Captain George’s Seafood | 1401 29th Avenue North | (843) 916-2278

If a more casual seafood experience is what you seek, head to Captain George’s Seafood Buffet to get your fill of all your nautical favorites. Ideal for groups or for those who want a little bit of everything, Captain George’s offers just about anything you could imagine and then some. Grouper, mahi-mahi, flounder, oysters, scallops, crab legs, and so much more await. Buffet pricing is $37.99 for adults and $19.99 for kids 5-12. They are open 364 days a year, Monday-Friday, from 4-9 pm, Saturday, from 2-9:30 pm, and Sunday, from 12-9 pm.

Co Sushi | 3098 Deville Street | (843) 839-1733

Sushi and summer go hand in hand. This lighter food comes in many varieties, shapes, and sizes and is a favorite among beach-goers. Guests seeking the absolute best sushi in town can find just that right up the road from Sea Crest Resort at Co Sushi. Located within the popular Market Common area, Co Sushi offers a variety of Asian inspired cuisine, including flavorful and creative sushi concoctions. Co also offers refreshing cocktails (and happy hour) and an enjoyable outdoor seating area. Open daily from 11 am to 10 pm.

The Grumpy Monk | 1317 Celebrity Circle | (843) 712-8020

Not a place you would expect to get great sushi, but none-the-less they have some of the best! The Grumpy Monk has a location located within Broadway at the Beach that is work grabbing a few rolls. This place is also great if you have a friend or family member that isn’t keen on sushi, offering a menu of other mouth-watering delights like the Hangover Burger! Stop in anytime during the week from 11 am to 11 pm, Sunday-Thursday, or 11 am to 11:30 pm on Friday and Saturday.
  

Our Italian Picks:

Villa Romana | 707 S. Kings Highway | (843) 448-4990

Authentic, old-world Italian can be hard to come by this day in age. Luckily, Sea Crest is located just a short drive from Villa Romana, a local gem. The flavorful menu features plenty of traditional favorites including handmade classic veal, chicken dishes, handmade pasta, and sauces. Be sure to save room for a piece of tiramisu. You can stop in daily from 4:30-9:00 pm or call in advance for a reservation!

Toscana Italian Kitchen | 2703 N Kings Highway | (843) 712-2699

For those looking for an intimate and elegant Italian experience, Toscana Italian Kitchen is our recommendation. Their Milan-inspired menu will leave you wanting more. Try favorites like the Sorrentino, prosciutto, and eggplant covered in mozzarella with a creamy mushroom tomato sauce served on a bed of penne and paired with one of their red wines. Don’t forget to save room for one of their housemade desserts like their cannoli or tiramisu. Toscana Italian Kitchen is open daily for dinner from 4-10 pm.

Visitors seeking a gourmet burger in a scenic location will definitely want to check out ART Burger. Located oceanfront along the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, ART Burger stays true to their “art” theme by naming each of their handmade creations after a classic artist. Options include classic choices, like the “Rockwell All-American” or the “Rembrandt,” which is seared in duck fat and topped with confit mushrooms, manchego cheese, and dijon mustard. Each burger showcases fresh, local ingredients and the menu features enough options to please any cravings. We also highly recommend their famous mac and cheese as your side dish! Check out one of the newer restaurants at The Avenue located at Broadway at the Beach, Wahlburgers. The famous Walhberg brothers restaurant has some of the best gourmet burgers and fries on the Grand Strand. Try the Our Burger with ⅓lbs of juicy beef, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, government cheese, and their signature wahl sauce –you won’t be disappointed. Enjoy lunch or dinner daily from 11 am -10 pm.

Though the pizza options in Myrtle Beach are plentiful, the absolute favorite among visitors and locals is Michael’s Pizza on North Kings Highway. This local joint serves up true New York Style pies that can be enjoyed on-site or delivered right to our hotel. All pizzas are available as 12” or 16” and include options like spinach and feta, meat lovers, and plain ‘ole cheese for the kiddos.

Feel the groovy vibes and try a new type of pizza at Mellow Mushroom. Their menu has some of the most unique varieties and concoctions of pizza on the Grand Strand. Order from pies like the Great White, the Kosmic Karma, or Pacific Rim with red sauce, mozzarella, bacon, caramelized onions, pineapple, and jalapenos –yum! They also have hoagies, calzones, and salads to choose from too! Sun City Café is another hidden local gem that many visitors don’t know about. This truly local stop is nestled in a plaza downtown and is easy to miss! A step above your typical tacos, Sun City offers authentic Mexican eats at a price you can afford. Their Mexican menu varies seasonally and utilizes fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Signature items include their homemade guacamole, blackened fish tacos, chorizo, and potato burritos, and their house-made margaritas – of course! Sun City also often features live entertainment on weekends.

If you’re looking for great Mexican cuisine with a view, look no further than Banditos Cantina. They have an oceanfront location with outdoor seating that makes for a great dinner out. A few of our favorite menu items include their Grande Nachos and their Bandito Burrito! They also offer freshly made margaritas with their housemade cilantro salt, is your mouth watering yet?

Get your fill of finger-licking BBQ at Damon’s Oceanfront Grill. Situated along the south end of Ocean Boulevard, this BBQ grill serves up dishes that are hearty in both portions and taste. BBQ options include pulled port, BBQ grilled chicken, BBQ sandwiches, and their famous Damon’s ribs, available as a half or whole rack. Damon’s also offers several “to-go” packages for feeding a crowd.

100,000 steaks served a year – now that’s got to mean something! This Italian Steakhouse is a favorite among visitors and locals alike and is an easy choice for the top spot to get your steak fix. Steak selections include ribeye, filet, New York strip, and bone-in chops and each one is hand sliced, seasoned, grilled to order, and served on a sizzling plate with butter. If you want a good juicy steak while visiting the Grand Strand, try Angus Steakhouse & Seafood, they won’t disappoint! Wicked Tuna has opened up a 2nd Avenue Pier location and we know our guests will love it! Not only can you get great freshly caught seafood, but their sushi and cocktail menu is out of this world –did we mention the great food comes with a view? Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, stop in from 8 am-10 pm.
