Sea Crest Resort Guest Favorite Night Life: Hot Summer Nights
Myrtle Beach offers many different types of night life, from live theater to a vibrant club scene. But there’s only one Hot Summer Nights. Our guests love the free, festive family atmosphere on the Myrtle Beach boardwalk.
Hot Summer Nights liven up the Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk and Promenade’s northern section, which runs from Pier 14 to Plyler Park. This section of the boardwalk, ranked by National Geographic as the country’s third-best boardwalk behind only Coney Island and Atlantic City, is an old-fashioned raised wooden boardwalk, great for strolling and people watching.
The Hot Summer Nights festivities include live music nearly every night all summer between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. from June through September—and the fun spreads into the spring and fall months on weekends, too. Look for performances by an uncanny Elvis impersonator, a strolling Dixieland band, beach music groups and reggae, rock and R&B acts from around the region. Bands may be on the boardwalk, on stage in Plyler Park or on stage on 9th Avenue.
Monday nights are especially fun for the kids as Plyler Park is transformed into a children’s carnival, with face painting, fun bouncy inflatables, games and more. Of course, kids also love Wednesday nights, because it’s fireworks night! Come check out the show at 10 p.m.; the fireworks are shot off the 2nd Avenue Pier, but the best view is from the boardwalk.
Best of all, the Hot Summer Nights fun is totally free, so next time you come to visit Myrtle Beach, be sure to check it out!
