Ride the Waves at Myrtle Waves

Head to Myrtle Waves Water Park on your next visit, where the whole family can cool off and have a blast!

South Carolina’s largest water park sits on 20 acres of fun at 3000 10th Ave. North in Myrtle Beach and is open mid-May to mid-September. Hit the raft rides, slides and family attractions with a one-day pass, or, if you plan to be a regular at the beach, secure a season, 2-park or 3-park pass.

For your family and friends who enjoy a smooth ride, stroll over to one of the relaxing raft rides. The Layzee River gives visitors of all ages a slow, steady 3mph tour around the entire park, so enjoy the view while taking your leisurely trip. Want to move a little faster? Head to the Racin’ River, where you hop on a skim board to ride the 250-foot river course.

Go get your splash on at one of the park’s six slides, which offer a variety of thrills for you to try solo or with a partner. The Arooba Tuba is easy to spot: Just look for the bright orange and yellow bowl-shaped funnel that will have you hurrying back for more. Head to the Riptide Rockets for a premium water slide rush, or try the Thunderblots slides for a smaller, tamer experience.  Travel to Snake Mountain for a three-part adventure, or dare to explore the dark, foggy tunnels of the Night Flight. And did we mention that the Turbo Twisters will have you plummeting from 10 stories high at 50 feet per second?

Before you head to a ride with your little ones or with your friends, remember to check each ride’s height, size and weight safety restrictions. Also, keep an eye out for special events and promotions at the park.

If you’re traveling to Myrtle Waves Water Park with a group or for a birthday party, remember to check on your group ticket discount and to look into renting one of the shaded pavilions as your park headquarters.
