House of Blues Myrtle Beach

You want some variety? You’ve got plenty of it at House of Blues.

Travel to Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach - 4640 Hwy. 17 South, to be exact - to grab some unbelievable grub, to stand front-row for your favorite band, to solve a murder mystery, to buy some fine folk art or to sing a little gospel music. Yup, you can do all of that at the house built by the Blues Brothers.

If you’ve got food on the brain, come test out the new Crossroads dining menu, courtesy of celebrity chef Aaron Sanchez (Food Network). Grab some cornbread with maple butter, try the street-style tacos, and don’t skimp out on the shrimp and grits,a Lowcountry favorite. Breakfast is served 8-11:30 a.m. Saturdays, lunch is ready 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays, and dinner’s on the table 4:30-9 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays.

Before you hit the Grand Strand, peruse the House of Blues Concert Calendar. It’s chockful of renowned recording artists (REO Speedwagon, Buddy Guy, Deftones, Little Big Town), fun-loving cover bands (paying tribute to Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Guns n Roses, Def Leppard) and local musicians on the rise (Adi Nelson, Stairwell, Porch Crickets, just to name a few).

Get your gumshoe craving filled at the Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre, where everyone is a suspect and your help is needed to solve the crime. Junior detectives (12 and under) should sit this one out, with parental discretion.

Don’t forget to stop by the House of Blues Company Store for musical memorabilia or funky folk art. Looking for another memorable moment on your trip? Head to the weekly Gospel Brunch from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, where you’ll find a little inspiration and a whole lot of delicious food on the buffet line.

Want a super exclusive deal? Ask how you can Crash the Barricade, which gets you a private buffet and the chance to pass the line.
