Halloween at The Beach
Though Myrtle Beach is most known for our exciting summer events, don’t be fooled into thinking the town goes into hibernation after the season is over! The fall is full of exciting local events, especially around Halloween. If you are in the area during October, be sure to participate in some of the spook-tacular area events and attractions. From haunted houses to trick-or-treating and everything in between, Myrtle Beach is full of spooky fun.
Boardwalk Fright Nights
New to the area, the Myrtle Beach boardwalk will come alive (or dead, rather) with real zombies! Every weekend between October 11th – November 2nd the downtown area will be overrun with these undead demons. Visitors can visit the Zombie Quarantine Zone for pictures and an up close and personal encounter with zombies. In addition, guests can enjoy live music on the boardwalk, half price area thrill rides and discounts on combo passes to the Ripley’s Haunted Adventure.
Trick-or-Treating & Costume Contest at Broadway
Broadway at The Beach is headquarter for several Halloween themed events. On the Saturday prior to Halloween, Celebrity Square lights up for the biggest Halloween bash in the area. There will be a live DJ and drink specials all night long, in addition to their popular adult costume contest that offers tempting cash giveaways. On Halloween evening, bring the younger ones by for a family friendly night of trick-or-treating around the local area shops and stores.
Hallowine Dinner at Croissants
For a fun, festive Halloween themed evening, make reservations for the Hallowine Dinner at Croissants Bistro & Bakery. Featuring 5 themed courses, like Bleeding Hearts of Brie and Frankenribs. Each course is paired with wines that have been hand selected to compliment each plate. Family Halloween Spooktacular Party at Ripley’s
If you are looking for a family friendly Halloween party then make plans to attend the annual Family Spooktacular event at the Ripley’s Aquarium Held on October 26th, this event will include pumpkin decorating, face painting, costume contests, scavenger hunts around the aquarium, and so much more! This event takes place from 6pm-8pm and is $24.99 / person.
Nightmare Haunted House
For those who enjoy a real scare, head to 10th avenue south and visit the Nightmare Haunted House. A beach area staple for over 20 years, this haunted house is the absolute best in Myrtle Beach. With an impressive warehouse offering over 3,000 square feet of terror, this attraction takes daring visitors through a 30 nightmare. Live actors pop out from corners and nothing is off limits – so prepare your nerves. This attraction is open from October 11th – November 2nd and general admission is $12.
