Christmas Along The Grand Strand

First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! We here at Coral Beach, Sea Crest and Holiday Inn-“At the Pavilion” hope that this holiday season is superb one for all of our guests, both current and future.

With Thanksgiving upon us, that means that Christmas is just a month away.

Here in Myrtle Beach, the yuletide season has become a great time to visit the Grand Strand due to the moderate weather and wealth of activities in which you can partake.

There are a host of shows at area entertainment theatres who host annual Christmas-themed productions, including the Carolina Opry, the Alabama Theatre and Dixie Stampede. Each of these theatres offers a different perspective on the entertainment aspect and all provide a holiday show well-worth seeing.

In addition to the theatre’s productions, there are several other Christmas-related activities in Myrtle Beach. One of the most breathtaking is Brookgreen Gardens’ Night of A Thousand Candles event has become a tradition for many locals and visitors alike. Taking place the first three weekends in December (Dec. 4 and 5, December 11 and 12 and December 17 through 19), this Grand Strand-area haven sees art, environment and music melded into a Christmas-themed, awe-inspiring sight. A favorite seasonal event in the Myrtle Beach area, carolers and musicians add the sounds of the holidays to the enchanting garden scene. Performers this year include a variety of genres and talents, such as: Rocky Fretz;; the Vocal Edition choral ensemble group; and Eric Jones performing the African Kalimba, while the Stand Youth Ballet.

Also, from December 5-7, the 19th Annual Winter Arts & Crafts Show will be held in Myrtle Beach. For nearly two decades the Annual Winter Arts & Craft Show has been one of the premier craft shows in the Myrtle Beach area, routinely offering a solid display of more than 200 craft vendors.

Along the Grand Strand, there are also Christmas parades in North Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach and Conway for children, and adults alike, to enjoy.

All of us here at our great resorts are looking forward to the month of December and all of the happiness and joy it brings! So, until next time, feel free to let me know your thoughts on what’s happening at any of our three resorts.

Best,

Lynette
